1. How is neem useful to farmers?

. Neem seed powder is mixed in water. This solution is sprayed on plants and crops to prevent infestation by locusts. This powder is added to standing water in rice fields to prevent growth of germs and termites.

2. Mention some of the uses of the neem tree.
Ans. Neem tree is an air purifier. The dry leaves are added to clothes to prevent moth infestation. Neem leaves are kept on the bed of those suffering from measles to prevent itchiness caused by germs. Neem oil is added to soaps and toothpastes to make them effective germ killers. Neem wood is used to make termite-proof furniture. Kajal made of neem flowers can cure itchy eyes.
