Story Summary (Part 1 – Pages 143-144):
Aarushi and Aarohi visited the famous Lakshman Temple in Sirpur with their grandfather, Dadaji. The temple looked very old with shining red bricks. Dadaji explained that the temple was built 1,400 years ago! The bricks were made using soil, sand, and paddy husk, baked in terracotta texture.
Aarohi asked how people built such a strong temple so long ago. Dadaji said they had great knowledge and skill, using natural binding materials and perfect measurements.
Aarushi wondered why it was called the Lakshman Temple when the idol looked like Lord Vishnu. Dadaji explained that the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, but local folklore connects it to Lakshman because the main statue shows Lord Vishnu sitting on Sheshanaga, the five-headed snake. In mythology, Lakshman is believed to be the incarnation of Sheshanaga.

Dear Diary,
Today was an amazing day! I visited the Lakshman Temple in Sirpur with my sister Aarushi and Dadaji. The temple is 1,400 years old and made of red bricks. I was surprised to learn that the bricks were made using soil, sand, and paddy husk!
Dadaji told us that Queen Vasata built this temple in memory of her husband. The carvings on the doors show Lord Vishnu’s ten avatars. I touched the carvings of snakes on the pillars – they felt so real!
We also learned that Sirpur was once called Shripura. People of all religions lived here peacefully. A Chinese traveller named Hiuen Tsang visited this place long ago.
I am so proud of our rich heritage. I want to come here again with my friends!
