Introduction

“Out in the Garden” is the fourth chapter of Unit 2: Toys and Games in the Santoor Class 3 English textbook. This joyful poem describes the fun children have while playing outdoors in the garden.

The poem is divided into three stanzas, each focusing on different aspects of outdoor play:

First Stanza: Playing with a ball – bouncing, throwing, catching

Kite Flying: Kite flying is a popular activity in India, especially during festivals like Makar Sankranti (Uttarayan). The poem mentions kite flying.
