My Computer Class 5: Subject- English Lesson 11
I have a magic box
We call it the computer.
All you do can be seen
On its monitor
It has a keyboard
And is run by a mouse
It has a processing unit
which is the brain house.
You can see me hear songs
with the headphone on
And if you want it louder
There are speakers full-on
I can play games on it
And solve many riddles,
Paint and draw and build
And get answers to puzzles.
I type my name on the keyboard
And you know what is more,
It comes out of the printer
And I can paste it on my door.

My Autobiography: The Life of a Computer
Hello! I am a computer, the magical box that has changed the way the world works. I was born in a factory, where skilled hands and machines assembled my parts. My journey began when I was delivered to a home where a curious child switched me on for the first time.
I have many parts that work together to make me functional. My monitor shows everything happening inside me, while my keyboard helps users type commands and messages. My mouse clicks and selects things quickly. My C.P.U. is my brain, processing all the information I receive.
People use me for countless tasks. They play games, solve puzzles, and paint beautiful pictures on me. Students type their homework and search for information, while professionals create documents and presentations. Sometimes, I print their work using my printer.
Over the years, I have become faster and smarter. I am no longer just a box; I now fit into pockets as smartphones or tablets. I feel proud to be a part of everyone’s life, helping them learn, work, and connect.
Although I may sometimes get slow or need repairs, I am always ready to serve my users. I am not just a machine; I am a friend, a teacher, and a guide.
That’s my story—what’s yours?
